PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk device capable of increasing an internal volume and having high sealing performance. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a box-shaped container A having a bottom face and four side faces, the upper surface part being opened, and a box-shaped cap body B slightly larger in size than the container A, and having an upper face and four side faces, the bottom surface part being opened. The cap body B is put over the container A to form a box having a hollow part, and a magnetic disk medium, a head and an actuator are arranged in the hollow part. Bead-like sealing materials prepared by hardening curable liquid resins are formed at the corners of the upper face and four side faces of the cap body B, and the upper ends of the four side faces of the container A is in contact with the sealing materials.
