PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an irradiating electron beam from being leaked to tracks adjacent to a reproduction track to be detected as a noise. SOLUTION: This information recording medium 1 includes a substrate 2, a conductive layer 3 formed on the substrate 2, and a recording layer 4 consisting of a material having different conductivity according to the recorded state or unrecorded state while being formed on the conductive layer 3. The information recording medium 1 further includes separating areas 6, 6, ... having patterns electrically separating the recording layer 4 to a plurality of areas whereon signals are to be recorded in at least one direction parallel to an upper face of the substrate 2.
