PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress degradation of optical characteristics accompanied by assembling in a lens unit in which a lens element is integrated with a lens-barrel. SOLUTION: The lens unit is constituted of a 1st lens-barrel 4 and a 2nd lens-barrel 5 which is force-fitted into the 1st lens-barrel 4. In a state before assembling these, difference between an inner peripheral diameter of a through hole 4a provided in the 1st lens-barrel 4 and an outer peripheral diameter of the 2nd lens-barrel 5 in a region located at a side of the lens element 6 after assembling is set so as to be larger than difference between an outer peripheral diameter of the lens element 6 and an inner peripheral diameter 5c of a through hole 5a in the 2nd lens-barrel 5.
