PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-conditioner for a vehicle capable of lowering the blowout temperature of air-conditioning wind at the start of the air-conditioner and exhausting hot air stagnating in the upper part of inside the cabin. SOLUTION: The air-conditioner for the vehicle has a control part 30 equipped with an initial period, first air-conditioning mode to form the air-conditioning wind by sucking the inner air from a low temperature part of inside the cabin 2, an initial period, second air-conditioning mode to form the air-conditioning wind by sucking the inner air in the upper part of an instrument panel 4 after a specified time and the inner air in the low temperature part of inside the cabin 2, and a stable air-conditioning mode to form the air-conditioning wind by sucking the inner air in the low temperature part of inside the cabin 2 when the blowout temperature of the air-conditioning wind has become the specified level or below. Thereby the inner air is sucked in from the low temperature part of inside the cabin 2 at the start of the air-conditioner to lead to a small thermal load to allow enhancement of the cooling ability, which lowers the blowout temperature of the air-conditioning wind. Then the inner air in the upper part of the instrument panel 4 is sucked in, and the hot air in the upper part of inside the cabin 2 can be exhausted, and also the inner air is sucked in from the low temperature part of inside the cabin 2 so that it is possible to maintain the condition with a low blowout temperature.
