The invention relates to a device which is used to dynamically load test a sample, comprising a bearing which can connect the sample directly or indirectly in a detachable manner, in addition to a counter-bearing which can be effectively connected to the sample by means of at least one actuator element, such that the at least one actuator element introduces the dynamically mechanical load into the sample, which works alongside a load path (A) which extends between the bearing and the counter bearing through the sample. The at least one actuator element comprises a multi-functional solid body conversion material system which undergoes deformations by supplying energy, which are caused by or at least caused for the mechanical loads prevailing inside the sample. The device is characterised by a particular embodiment of the actuator element which can be embodied in two alternate constructions.
