<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piping device using an inexpensive installation for detecting the leakage of hydrogen gas. <P>SOLUTION: The piping device comprises a distribution unit 8 having a header 81 to be connected to a hydrogen gas supply source, and a plurality of distribution pipes 5a-5d to be connected between the header 81 and each of a plurality of fuel cells 1a-1d installed on exclusive floors 10a-10d of a building 100, respectively. The distribution unit 8 has a detection space 86 into which hydrogen gas flows after leaking from the distribution pipes 5a-5d.
