<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately control a mark sheet format, used for specifying an image file of a photograph and the number of copies to be printed. <P>SOLUTION: In an image processing apparatus, image data that is to be recorded/outputted by way of image recording means is specified according to information described in a mark sheet read through image reading means. Here, the image processing apparatus analyzes the image data to be printed out so as to detect the number of persons included in the image date as objects, prints a mark sheet containing the thumbnail image (B) of the image and a marking column (C) for specifying the number of prints that correspond to the number of persons as objects obtained by detecting the number of faces in the image, makes the image reading means to read the mark sheet, and prints the image in number, corresponding to the number of persons. The detection of the number of persons is performed as an idle task for the image processing apparatus, and information on the number of persons detected as objects is stored in the image file as header information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
