摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an instrument for measuring a particle concentration, or a particle number and/or an average particle size allowing quick measurement. <P>SOLUTION: In the present invention, aerosol particles are charged electrically at first by a diffusion charger 10, and the particles are followed with a guide by a diffusion separator 20 to separate one portion of the particles. A separated current is measured, and a numerical value of a number concentration is detected based on the particles. Only the one separator is used therefor. In preferable embodiment, the instrument for measuring auxiliarily an induction current and/or an aerosol electric meter exists to measure the whole current thereby. The electric meter in the latter determines auxiliarily the average particle size.
