FAST REROUTING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MPLS MULTICAST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fast rerouting apparatus and method applied to MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) multicast.

SOLUTION: The fast rerouting apparatus for MPLS multicast comprises: a message transfer part for sending and receiving a message to and from an upstream or downstream node; a message processing part for, when a message requesting routing for fast rerouting of MPLS multicast is received from the upstream node, transferring a routing request message for establishing a NHDB (Next Hop DataBase) to the downstream node through the message transfer part, and establishing the NHDB using information included in a response message received from the downstream node; and a storage part for storing the established NHDB.
