PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable hydrogen flame ionization-type gas detector for forming a hydrogen flame in a stable combustion state while bringing a sample gas into sufficient contact with the hydrogen flame, and accordingly, stably performing anticipated gas detection. SOLUTION: In this hydrogen flame ionization-type gas detector of a portable type, hydrogen gas jetted out from a hydrogen flame nozzle is ignited to form a hydrogen flame in a combustion chamber, sample gas is supplied into the combustion chamber by a sample gas nozzle, thereby bringing the sample gas into contact with the hydrogen flame to thermally decompose the sample gas, and an ion current thereby produced is detected to detect the concentration of hydrocarbon gas. A gas diffusion member made of a porous body is disposed in the combustion chamber and the sample gas is supplied to the combustion chamber via the diffusion member. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
