PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device for an image forming apparatus which is free of rolling-in of a blade, filming, and toner fusion, even when frequency of its use is increased. SOLUTION: The cleaning device which transfers a toner image electrostatically formed on an image carrier surface to a transfer material and removes residual toner left on the image carrier at this time performs both blade cleaning and fur brush cleaning, and is configured to supply the image carrier surface with at least two kinds of materials having lubricity and abrasiveness for the image carrier surface via a fur brush.
