PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide hakama type Japanese clothes convenient in daily life through reducing time and trouble of wearing, corresponding to active exercise and facilitating a folding way at the time of putting away. SOLUTION: The hakama type Japanese clothes are so designed that two front strings each of a length long enough to go round the waist and tie on the back center are set on the upper and lower sides on a hakama part, the upper front string is sewn to the upper part of a hakama front body and the lower front string is sewn to both the sides of the hakama front body, and the lower front string between two places to which the string is sewn is raised from the hakama to put interlining in, thus work of a front string part at the time of wearing is simplified. Furthermore, in order to correspond to active exercise, a hoop allowing to narrow the bottom and roll up inside is sewn through sewing top ends of a few strings to each the inside of the hakama front body and back body, passing a plurality of strings through the bottom part of the hakama inside to tie up.
