PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new fumaric diester copolymer suitable as an optical material having high heat resistance and transparency. SOLUTION: The fumaric diester copolymer is composed of specific fumaric diester residue units, specific oxetanyl group-bearing (meth)acrylic ester residue units and/or specific tetrahydrofurfuryl group-bearing (meth)acrylic ester residue units.
