An assembly removes droplets, e.g. a lubricant or a coolant, from a gas flow by a filter that is a random fiber mesh or knitted fiber mesh. The fiber mesh is a three-dimensional textile structure held taut between coarse intermediate lines (11) held between two end-panels (9). The intermediate lines act as liquid drainage lines. The mesh and lines are polypropylene, polyester or polyamide also incorporating a mesh of electrically conducting threads through which a current flows. The droplets are ionized in the filter. Spacer panels (8) are arranged in series transverse to the direction of gas flow and incorporate pores, forming a cascade filter. |
