A medical resin composition is produced by mixing a powder of polymer (A) composed of ester-group-having repeating units with a solvent of vinyl ester monomer (B) with = 6 carbon atoms and thickening the mixture, optionally further advancing a polymerization reaction. The thus produced resin composition inhibits leaching of irritative substance, reduces any adverse effects on human body by endocrine inhibitors, etc. and can be prepared with high operational efficiency. This resin composition is suitable for use in dental resin compositions, such as a mucous membrane conditioning material, a functional impression material, a back lining material, a denture base material and a mouthpiece material.
