The guide rail comprises a profiled body (6) which has a guide section accessible from the lift shaft side into which guide elements (2) on the lift door can engage through an opening (6f) . A deflector or guard (6g) is provided in the region of this opening and is shaped so that with relative movement of the guide rail perpendicular to its longitudinal axis in relation to the assembly position the deflector can deflect a foreign body formed by a metal rod which is forced by its end through horizontal movement through the opening into the rail whilst at its other end it is held firm by the hand. |
