<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mosaic image composing device and a mosaic image composing method that can relieve accumulation of errors. <P>SOLUTION: In this mosaic image composing method, an estimating means is provided for extracting a plurality of feature points existing in common in a second image and a first image, obtaining the moving quantities of the feature points, and estimating a conversion parameter from position/attitude information in photographing the first image to position/attitude information in photographing the second image based on the moving quantities and the position/attitude information in photographing the first image. The estimating means estimates conversion parameters for every combination of the feature points based on a plurality of combinations of the feature points, computes evaluation values of orthogonality of the estimated conversion parameters, votes for the conversion parameters based on the evaluation values of orthogonality, and sets the conversion parameter which obtained most votes in the vote, as an estimate of a final conversion parameter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
