<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose acylate film which has a small optical anisotropy, is substantially isotropic, has a small humidity-dependence of optical anisotropy, has a small wavelength dispersion and, further, hardly causes optical irregularity, to provide an optical compensation film, a polarizing plate and the like which is manufactured by using the cellulose acylate film and is excellent in a viewing field angle characteristic, and to provide a liquid crystal display device using them. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical film, a birefringent layer (a) is laminated on a transparent film (b), the birefringent layer (a) satisfies specified conditions and, moreover, differences of Re retardation value and Rth retardation value measured in environment of 25°C, 10%RH, and those measured in environment of 25°C, 80%RH are respectively 20 nm or less and 50 nm or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
