<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pen having an optical path coaxial with a pen tip. <P>SOLUTION: The optical pen having an optical path coaxial with the pen tip comprises a pen shaft, a pen tip, a light source, lenses, and an optical sensor. The pen shaft extends a predetermined length along an axial direction. The tip is placed at an end of the pen shaft and arranged in the axial direction. The light source generates light to illuminate an external surface around the pen tip, and generates a reflected image, and the light proceeds along an optical path. Further, the optical path overlaps at least partially with the axial direction. The optical sensor is placed on the light path to receive an imaging light and convert it into electrical signals. Since the optical path of the imaging light captured by the optical pen is coaxial with the pen tip, the proceeding speed, direction, and distance of the image captured by the optical sensor are homologous with those of the pen tip when the optical pen is used to perform writing operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
