<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal detecting method of detecting whether there is an input signal or its state from whether there is a through current, a power consumption control method, a signal detecting device, and a power consumption controller. <P>SOLUTION: The power consumption controller 12 which detects a pulse signal being outputted from an output terminal CL of an oscillator 4 whose operation is to be monitored and outputs a power consumption reduction signal when no pulse is detected for a designated time is equipped with a p-type transistor M2 and an n-type transistor M3 to which the output terminal CL is connected at their gate and which are connected in series and detecting means (M0, M1, C1, and R1) of detecting through currents flowing to the p-type transistor M2 and n-type transistor M3, and outputs the power consumption reduction signal when no through current is detected for the designated time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
