<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric golf cart which does not cause the problem of noise, the feeling of sensuous incompatibility or an unpleasant feeling due to the drive of an engine generator while a cart is stopped. <P>SOLUTION: In the electric golf cart provided with a traveling motor driven with a battery as a power source and an engine-driven generator for charging the battery, a control means for performing control so as not to drive the generator while the cart is stopped by performing prescribed stop processing for the generator on the basis of traveling stop signals for stopping the cart is provided.
