<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relaying amplifier for relaying-amplifying a terrestrial digital broadcast signal and the downlink signal of a wireless communication system other than the terrestrial digital broadcast signal, efficiency of which is enhanced. <P>SOLUTION: The relaying amplifier extracts signals with a prescribed bandwidth from input signals for a plurality of channels of terrestrial digital broadcasting, composites a plurality of the signals, and a broadcast optical conversion means 32 converts the composite signal into an optical signal. A downlink signal optical conversion means 34 converts a received downlink signal into an optical signal, a multiplexer side WDM coupler 35 multiplexes the optical signals, demultiplexer side WDM couplers CC1 to CCp demultiplex the optical signal corresponding to the terrestrial digital broadcasting and the optical signal corresponding to the downlink signal from the optical signals transmitted through an optical cable, and the relaying amplifier converts the respective demultiplexed optical signals into electric signals and wirelessly transmits the electric signals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
