PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device realizing further speeding-up by relaxing interference at certain timing between workpieces of adjacent sets when the workpieces are mutually carried out in the transfer device simultaneously carrying a plurality of the (n) workpieces as one set in an index table, simultaneously carrying out for each set, and using the index table. SOLUTION: The transfer device is provided with a rotatable table such as the index table for transferring the workpieces, carries the workpieces in the table from a workpiece carrying-in station by a carrying-in means, rotationally moves the workpieces by rotating the table, and carries out the workpieces from a workpiece carrying-out station by a carrying-out means. The carrying-in means is provided with a carrying-in replacement part for arranging one set of respective workpieces respectively at positions which are prescribed positions on different circular orbits of the table and where the workpieces on the same orbit of each adjacent set do not interfere with each other.
