PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device for an endoscope in which sparks between a knob part and a casing are prevented while compacting the assembly of heat sinks and fixing screws and the entire light source device. SOLUTION: The light source device for the endoscope comprises: an anode side heat sink 40 and a cathode side heat sink 60 composed of a conductive material and provided with recessed parts 45 and 65 for discharging the heat of a lamp light source to the outside while being in contact with the anode and cathode of the lamp light source 80 respectively; and a pair of fixing screws 50 and 70 both composed of a conductive material for fixing the anode side heat sink and the cathode side heat sink to fixing members 32 and 33.
