A removable turret for a pod-based beverage dispenser system. The turret may include a turret frame (325), a turret plate (320), and a turret shaft (1040) connecting the turret plate to the turret frame for rotation therewith. The turret shaft (1040) may include a pair of first connectors (1080) attached to the turret frame and a pair of second connectors (1070) attached to the turret wheel. The first and the second connectors may releaseably mate with each other.
