A network broadcast system and method is described in the present disclosure. Included is a method for playing streaming content in a componentized player, the method comprising displaying a media player component configured to display the streaming content; displaying an advertisement component that provides product information; detecting a user selection of the advertisement component; and displaying another component in response to detecting the user selection without interfering with a user's access to the streaming content.
