The leaf spring is made from a resin-impregnated fiber composite. The end of the spring tapers inwards, but the outer fibers (7) extend completely to it. V-Shaped notches (5) in the ends allow it to be fitted on vehicle wheel mountings. - Independent claims are included for two different methods for making the spring.
