<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out accurate printing on a form or the like on which a layout frame or the like is printed beforehand. <P>SOLUTION: This form processing device 100 prints a predetermined calibration pattern using a printer, then reads paper on which the calibration pattern is printed by a scanner, and computes the amount of dislocation between a scannable region of the scanner and a printable region of the printer based on the difference between a scanning position and a printing position of the calibration pattern. The form processing device 100 has a function of displaying a form image read by the scanner, on a monitor and performing the layout of characters or the like on the image.
