<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glossy inkjet recording sheet, by which higher surface gloss can be realized without applying a surface treatment such as a cast treatment or the like to a gloss developing layer and, in addition, higher color developing properties can be realized to a pigmented ink. <P>SOLUTION: In the glossy inkjet recording sheet, in which the gloss developing layer including a pigment and a binding agent provided on at least an ink absorbing layer, which includes a pigment and a binding agent and is provided on one side of a water-absorbent layer, is not cast-treated, the pH of the surface of the coating layer of the topmost layer of the ink absorbing layer is set to be not more than 8.0, the major pigment comprising of the gloss developing layer is a hydrated alumina and the pH of the coating liquid of the gloss developing layer is set to be not more than 5.0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
