<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus realizing setting for accurately positioning a writing head and a photoreceptor drum, and restraining the vibration of the writing head caused by the vibration of a movable member, thereby preventing an image defect such as banding associated with resonance and obtaining excellent image quality. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with an electrostatic latent image carrier 21 having base members for positioning 21b in non-image areas at both ends in a shaft direction, the writing head 23L having abutting members 23p abutting on the respective base members for positioning 21b and formed nearly like a box, a movable supporting member 23M supporting the writing head through an elastic member S and formed movably with respect to the writing head 23L, and a vibration restraining means which avoids the resonance with excitation frequency caused by disturbance and restrains the vibration of the writing head 23L by changing the characteristic frequency (fn) of a structural body to be formed of the writing head 23L and the movable supporting member 23M. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
