<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter with a magnetic pole position detecting function, capable of detecting magnetic pole position of a synchronous motor to be controlled with no use of an expensive element such as CT. <P>SOLUTION: An inverter circuit 3 with current detecting function has shunt resistors Ru, Rv, and Rw connected respectively to lower ends of lower arm parts 8, 9, and 10 constituting a pair of arm parts connected respectively to each phase of a synchronous motor 4 whose magnetic pole position is to be detected. When the currents flowing each phase of the synchronous motor 4 are detected by the shunt resistors Ru, Rv, and Rw respectively, such period as all switching elements Q4, Q5, and Q6 of the lower arm parts 8, 9, and 10 are turned on is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
