<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information code reader capable of preventing lowering of sensitivity in the case of reading bar codes using a color area sensor. <P>SOLUTION: An image data processing part built in a microcomputer constituting a cellular phone, when an information code as a reading object is the bar codes (a step S2), discriminates the arrangement direction at a reading state of the bar codes (a step S5) and when the information code is discriminated as a "vertical sense" or "sideways" (a step S6), generates a luminance signal Y for reading the bar codes based on light receiving data obtained by a G pixel corresponding to green among pixels constituting a camera (a step S7). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
