<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which exposure can easily and automatically be adjusted to an appropriate exposure level even where a stroboscopic device using xenon lamp or the like is used by using an auxiliary light source using a general LED or the like for photographing with a camera in a dark place though there are problems that when photographing is carried out in a dark place or a back light environment by an imaging apparatus, a stroboscopic device using a xenon lamp or the like can automatically adjust exposure to an appropriate exposure level by the addition of a component such as a auto-focusing sensor or pre-emission of light before the main emission of light, which requires a space for such an additional component as the auto-focusing sensor. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: a light source for constantly emitting light to a subject; a light source for emitting flash light to a subject; a means by which the light source for constantly emitting light is controlled in a photographic mode; and a means by which the light source for emitting flash light is controlled in the photographic mode. The imaging apparatus further includes a means by which a pickup image when the light source is turned on and a pickup image when the light source is turned off are obtained using a means for storing the value of the relative illuminance ratio between the light source for emitting light and the light source for emitting flash light and also using a means for controlling the light source for constantly emitting light, and by which setting conditions for the imaging apparatus when the light source for emitting flash light is turned on are calculated and set using the stored value of the relative illuminance ratio. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
