PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a user program using an evaluation chip from being developed in a wrong way.
SOLUTION: A peripheral circuit control register 24 has a plurality of bits that correspond to respective peripheral resources 160-167. In response to the occurrence of access to either of the peripheral resources by a CPU 10, a decoder 28 activates an access signal to the accessed peripheral resource when a bit corresponding to the accessed peripheral resource in the peripheral circuit control register 24 is in a set state. During the development of a user program, the bits in the peripheral circuit control register 24 that correspond to the peripheral resources mounted in a product chip are preset whereby an evaluation chip can be made to have functional specifications equivalent to those of the product chip so as to prevent the user program from being developed in the wrong way.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
|
