PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin observation device, capable of photographing skin in a natural environment as much as possible. SOLUTION: At a skin observation device 1, disturbance light is shut off, when a tip face 3b of an observation portion 3 is pressed against a front surface of a skin S, because an annular flat surface F sticks to an object while pressing down the front surface of the skin S. Further, since the skin S rises along a taper plane T within an observation hole 3a, variation hardly occurs in the amount of rising of the skin S within the observation hole 3a, regardless of strength of force pressing the tip face 3b of the observation portion 3 on the front surface of the skin S. According to the arrangement, rising section of the skin S can be accommodated within the limits of the depth of field, without being affected by difference in elasticity of the skin S, and out of focus phenomenon hardly occurs. Moreover, the skin surface in the observation hole 3a is hard to extend, as a result, skin can be photographed in the natural environment as much as possible. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
