PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyurethane based elastic fiber that has excellent anti-chlorine embrittlement property, can suitably be used for swimming suits. SOLUTION: The polyurethane based elastic fiber preferably comprises 0.15-3 wt.%. of a half hindered phenol compound having at least one half hindered phenol compound and≥300 of molecular weight, 0.15-5 wt.%. of an organic sulfur compound with≥400 of molecular weight, and 0.1-10 wt.%. of an inorganic chlorine deterioration inhibitor.
