PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin while maintaining the transparency of an acrylic resin, improved with its refractive coefficient and heat resistance, and a useful method capable of producing the resin simply. SOLUTION: This fluorene skeleton-containing (meth)acrylic polymer is obtained by reacting a (meth)acrylic polymer containing≥1 group selected from the groups of a carboxylic acid, carboxylic anhydride and t-butyl ester of a carboxylic acid, with a fluorene compound having a functional group capable of reacting with these functional groups, and the method for producing the polymer is also provided.
