PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide throw-away type cutting tool capable of securing holding strength while preventing increase of working cost and a throw-away tip. SOLUTION: A bottom surface part 7 of the throw-away tip 2 is furnished with a pair of first and second inclined bottom surface parts 7b, 7c positioned with a shaft center O between them in the case when it is installed on a main body part 3 and the first and second inclined bottom surface parts 7b, 7c make respectively contact with first and second inclined contact parts 6a, 6b and can secure a contact area in the rear in the cutting direction on this throw-away type cutting tool 1. Consequently, it is possible to effectively use the contact area of the bottom surface part 7 against cutting resistance at the time of cutting work by eliminating the need for arrangement of a slit on the extreme bottom surface part of a V letter groove as a conventional main body part.
