An air conditioner, wherein two adsorption heat exchangers (31) and (32) in addition to an outdoor heat exchanger (21) and an indoor heat exchanger (22) are installed in a refrigerant circuit (10). An adsorbent is carried on the surfaces of the adsorption heat exchangers (31) and (32). Moisture in the air is adsorbed by the adsorbent on the adsorption heat exchangers (31) and (32) functioning as evaporators. The moisture is separated from the adsorbent and given to the air on the adsorption heat exchangers (31) and (32) functioning as condensers. Air dehumidified or humidified by the adsorption heat exchangers (31) and (32) is supplied into a room to treat latent heat load in the room. In the indoor heat exchanger (22), air is cooled or heated. The air cooled or heated in the indoor heat exchanger (22) is supplied into the room to treat sensible heat in the room. |
