<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for surely manufacturing a fuel battery cell while suppressing deformation of members in the manufacturing process. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel battery cell is equipped with a plate-like thin membrane electrode assembly 10, and a first metal plate 4 and a second metal plate 5 disposed on both sides of the thin membrane electrode assembly 10. The circumferential areas 4a, 5a of the first and second metal plates are sealed with an insulation layer interposed therebetween. The manufacturing method of the fuel battery cell comprises steps of: machining at least either of the first metal plate 4 and the second metal plate 5 into a warped shape such that the central area protrudes toward the direction of the membrane electrode assembly 10 than the circumferential area 4a, 5a; setting the second metal plate 5, and the membrane electrode assembly 10 on the first metal plate 4 in this order; and sealing the circumferential areas 4a, 5a of the first metal plate 4 and the second metal plate 5 with the insulation layer interposed therebetween. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
