<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat fixing device with which the continuation of fixing operation is made possible by remaining trouble-free heating means by individually detecting troubles, such as, disconnections, in any of a plurality of the heating means in case of occurrence of such troubles, and an image forming apparatus equipped therewith. <P>SOLUTION: Heaters 61 and 62 disposed inside a fixing roller 17 are heated by an AC power source 63 and a capacitor power source 66. The temperature of a fixing device surface of the fixing roller 17 is detected by a thermistor 67 and is inputted to a CPU 60. The amount of temperature change, and the heating time up to the fixable temperature relating to three combinations when the heaters 61 and 62 heat, and when only the respective heaters heat are prestored into a memory section 72. The CPU 60 calculates the amount of temperature change when the power source is turned on, compares the same with the amount of temperature change stored in the memory section 72, judges the corresponding combination, reads the heating time of the judged combination out of the memory section 72, and adjusts the heating time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
