<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter in which a ripple current flowing through a three-phase motor can be suppressed even when the three-phase motor is driven by outputting a two-phase drive signal having a phase difference of 180° in two-phase modulation system. <P>SOLUTION: When a decision is made that an all over on switching element is switched from an underside switching element to an upper side switching element, its output voltage pattern alteration timing is set to minimize a triangle reference wave.
