PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display element which is made thin and lightweight.

SOLUTION: The display element comprises a display panel. a transparent film disposed on the display panel and a buffer layer interposed between the transparent film and the display panel. The buffer layer has an adhesive characteristic. Thereby, the transparent film including a high polymer film stuck onto the liquid crystal panel by using the buffer layer having the adhesive characteristic or the high polymer film and a hard coating layer is provided, and the thickness and weight can be made thinner and lighter as compared with the conventional portable display apparatus.
