PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the circulation amount of a heating medium for transferring heat in a multi-tubular reactor where an exothermic or endothermic gaseous reaction proceeds and at the same time uniformalize the inside wall temperature distribution of reaction tubes on a plane crossing of longitudinal direction of reaction tubes.
SOLUTION: The reactor 1 is equipped with the reactor tubes 3 charged with a catalyst through which reactant gas flows, the heating medium liquid flows around the reaction tubes in a reaction zone 12. Multiple baffles 34 are fixed to surround the reaction tubes to improve heat transferring conditions. Baffles in this reactor are positioned and formed as described below. Specifically by the baffles, even if the circulation amount of heating medium is minimal or temperature difference in the longitudinal direction of the reaction tubes is large, the heat transfer is sufficiently enough and temperature difference in the cross-section of the tube bundle is surely to be sustained minimal. To uniformalize the temperature in the flow of the heating medium, furthermore a preheating zone 11 is positioned first in the reaction zone of the multi-tubular reactor, both zones are separated liquid-tightly from each other in the tube bundle section, the same heating medium stream flows through the both zones.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
|
