PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner-conveying mechanism, with which long lifetime is ensured using a simple configuration, and to provide an image forming apparatus that is equipped with toner carrying mechanism. SOLUTION: The toner-conveying mechanism 8 includes a recovery pipe 81, disposed between a cleaning device 46 and a toner recovery container and used to convey toner from the cleaning device 46 to the toner recovery container; and a recovery spiral 82, extending within the recovery pipe 81 and rotated and driven. In the toner-conveying mechanism 8, the recovery spiral 82 is formed so as to freely reciprocate in the direction of toner conveyance, accompanying rotation and driving.
