PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vibration damper capable of improving durability and effectively producing a two-stage stopper characteristic. SOLUTION: In this vibration damper A, an inner cylindrical metal fitting 1 is coupled to an outer cylindrical metal fitting 2 by an elastic rubber body 3, and hollow parts 4, 5 sandwiching the inner cylindrical metal fitting 1 and opposing to each other are provided in the elastic rubber body 3. Projecting parts 6, 7 projecting inwardly from the inner periphery of the outer cylindrical metal fitting 2 and serving as stoppers for vibration displacement in the inner cylindrical metal fitting 1 side are provided in the hollow parts 4, 5. In at least one of the projecting parts 6, 7, two axial small hollows 8, 9 whose cross sections have approximately oval shapes toward a shaft center O of the vibration damper A are provided at intervals in close vicinity to the inner periphery of the cylindrical outer metal fitting 2 and in circumferential both sides.
