PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide constant grasping of a retained thermal storage amount of a thermal storage tank in an ice thermal storage type air conditioner of a static ice making type. SOLUTION: The ice thermal storage type air conditioner 1 is provided with the thermal storage tank 61 storing water or ice, a thermal storage heat exchanger 65 carrying out heat exchange between a refrigerant and the water or ice in the thermal storage tank 61, and refrigerant temperature sensors 70 and 71 detecting inlet and outlet temperatures Th1 and Th2 of the refrigerant passing through the thermal storage heat exchanger 65. A change-over can be carried out between thermal storage operation of storing cold by evaporating the refrigerant in the thermal storage heat exchanger 65 and producing ice in the thermal storage tank 61, and stored heat utilizing cooling operation of melting the ice in the thermal storage tank 61 and using the cold by cooling the refrigerant in the thermal storage heat exchanger 65. In the air conditioner 1, the retained thermal storage amount Q of the thermal storage tank 61 can be calculated on the basis of the inlet and outlet temperatures Th1 and Th2, and a refrigerant flow rate G calculated from a flow rate characteristic of compressors 21 and 31.
