PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the event that the driveability of a vehicle deteriorates with a lock-up state caused by a failure of an inhibitor switch when a shift lever is shifted to a R-range. SOLUTION: A lock-up control device 80 comprises a signal input part 81 for inputting a signal from the inhibitor switch 72 and a vehicle speed sensor 71 which detects the position of a select lever, a range signal trouble determining part 82 for determining whether a trouble occurs or not in a range signal from the input inhibitor switch 72, and a lock-up control part 83 for resetting a preset lock-up determination vehicle speed value to be a preset greater value when the trouble determining part determines that the trouble occurs in the range signal, for engaging a lock-up clutch when the vehicle value from the vehicle speed sensor 71 exceeds the reset determination vehicle speed value with reference to the reset lock-up determination vehicle speed value, and for disengaging the lock-up clutch when the vehicle value is smaller than the determination vehicle speed value.
