摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving picture still picture simultaneous recording apparatus capable of efficiently recording a progressive image while keeping compatibility with a format for permitting reproduction of an ordinary interlace moving picture.

SOLUTION: The moving picture still picture simultaneous recording apparatus including: an optical path splitter for splitting a ray made incident from an imaging lens; at least one light receiving element for receiving split rays and providing an output of a first moving picture signal; at least one light receiving element for receiving the split rays and providing an output of a second moving picture signal; a first moving picture signal recording unit for recording the first moving picture signal to a recording medium; and a second moving picture signal recording unit for recording the second moving picture signal to the recording medium, records the second moving picture to the recording medium as supplementary moving picture information for complementing information of the corresponding first moving picture data.
