PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a sealing condition by pressing a sealing tool against a sealed body having a complicated-shape opening face with a small force as much as possible. SOLUTION: The sealing tool is pressed against the opening face of the sealed body. On the face of the sealing tool in contact with the sealed body, an annular recessed groove is formed following the shape of the extending face at the peripheral edge of the opening portion of the sealed body. An elastic packing is mounted in the annular recessed groove for sealing the opening portion of the sealed body. It comprises the annular recessed groove formed in the face of the elastic packing in contact with the peripheral edge of the opening portion of the sealed body and a low-softness packing mounted in the annular recessed groove and formed of an elastic body having softness lower than the elastic packing.
